FK Lowry have successfully completed a CFA Piling Project in the historic Harland & Wolff Shipyard in Belfast Harbour. FK Lowry Piling undertook the Design and Installation of CFA Bearing Piles for their new client, Cleary Construction. FK Lowry were sub-contracted to install 360 No. 600mm dia. CFA Bearing Piles for pile loads up to 1800kN and utilising their brand new Soilmec SR-75 Blue Tec Piling Rig over an 8-week programme.

FK Lowry’s Contracts Manager, Adrian O’Rourke explains,

We’re delighted to have successfully delivered this project for our new Client in Cleary Contracting. We delivered this project whilst operating in a Controlled Environment within the confines of a working facility in the historic Harland & Wolf Shipyard here in Belfast Harbour. It was a challenge at times but good communication, excellent collaboration and co-operation with the principal contractor ensured a smooth delivery. It was the first time utilising our brand-new rig and we’re really impressed with the performance of the Soilmec SR-75 BT CFA Piling Rig. The Soilmec SR-75 BT Piling Rig is the result of the developments and improvements to the existing High-Tech line of piling rigs. Namely, High productivity for each duty cycle, Plug & Play system for all drilling techniques/disciplines, Fuel savings up to 23% per day and many more. We also believe it not only operates brilliantly but looks great too! We look forward to working with Cleary Contracting again.
