FK Lowry Piling has added to its impressive fleet of Piling Rigs with the addition of a new Soilmec SR-75 and Juntann PMX-20 Rig.
The addition of the new Soilmec SR-75 Rig will bolster the companies CFA & Rotary capability whilst the new Juntann PMX-20 will better serve demand on the precast driven sector. The new Soilmec SR-75 Rig heralds a new generation of rigs designed by Soilmec for CFA, large diameter bored and Cased CFA piling. The structural components of the new SR-75 Rig have been redesigned in order to reduce the overall weight of the Rig. Both the new SR-75 Rig & PMX-20 Rig are installed with the latest Tier IIIB/IVi engine, which exceeds stringent new emission standards and reduces CO2 by around 17%, while still delivering more power, efficiency and flexibility.
The new Juntann PMX-20 Piling Rig signals continued investment in plant & equipment that will enable FK Lowry Piling to further extend its precast driven capabilities throughout the UK & ROI.
“The new Soilmec SR75 rig allows us to bore up to 2,000mm diameter rotary bored piles as well as having a Cased CFA (CSP) capability. We feel that a rig having the capability to bore beyond the toe of the Casing is advantageous. Particularly, when undertaking Secant Bored Pile Walls where there is a requirement for piles to extend deeper due to axial loads being exerted along the wall. The Rig is also quieter, quicker and more capable than many other Piling Rigs in its class. This is particularly advantageous when piling in sensitive City Centre locations.”Mark McKeown, FK Lowry Piling’s Business Development Manager
