FK Lowry Piling recently hosted Teams of Engineers to their current project in Glasgow. Two Teams of Consulting Engineers from the Woolgar Hunter Glasgow Office attended site at St. Vincent St. Glasgow to witness the installation of CFA Bearing Piles for a new project for an existing Client.
Business Development Manager, Mark Mc Keown explains,
“We were delighted to welcome Geotechnical Engineers and Graduate Engineers to oversee the installation of 600mm Dia. CFA Bearing Piles at St. Vincent St. Glasgow. Here, our latest Soilmec SR-75 BT CFA Piling rig is installing 600mm Dia. CFA Bearing Piles for axial vertical loads of up to 2500kN working loads to depths of up to 26m in length. The Consultants were able to witness the 76t operating weight CFA Piling rig installing the piles through 18m-20m of stiff Glacial Till before socketing the Piles into the underlying weak to moderately strong Sandstone bedrock. It was terrific to see the Graduates engaging and asking questions in relation to the geotechnical design and the installation process and we look forward to seeing them again soon on other projects in the City.”Mark Mc Keown, Business Development Manager
